An important milestone was the Kakar-led caretaker government’s official announcement of Dr. Amjad Saqib’s nomination to the position of Chairman of the Benazir Income Support Program (BISP).
President Dr. Arif Alvi gave his blessing to this significant choice on Friday.
According to the President’s Office, the appointment is made in perfect compliance with Section 5(3) of the Benazir Income Support Programme Act 2010. Dr. Amjad Saqib is a suitable candidate for this crucial position due to his significant experience and knowledge.
Recognizing the significance of this appointment, President Dr. Arif Alvi personally approved the choice of Dr. Amjad Saqib to serve as Chairperson of the Benazir Income Support Program, highlighting the importance of this position in ensuring social welfare and support for the nation’s most vulnerable populations.
