Australia captain Pat Cummins said:

It’s not often that you feel like half the world is watching an event, but everytime India plays Pakistan in a World Cup, according to Australia’s skipper Pat Cummins. It appears to be one of those times. Even though you aren’t physically participating, you still feel compelled to watch and listen to all the chatter and excitement around the game. So, the fact that it will be held at this stadium is fantastic. More than 100,000 persons are possible.

India captain Rohit Sharma said:

“I have said it from the start, you know, every leader sitting here wants to achieve something really special for their country,” India captain Rohit Sharma said. The 50-Over World Cup is something that is extremely highly valued; as a child, I always imagined competing in it, and I’m sure that all the men in this room also did. One thing I can guarantee—and I’m quite sure everyone already knows this—is that people will enjoy this event here. The stadium will be full with spectators because people in India love cricket just as much as they love their team. However, rest assured that it will be a great tournament.

Pakistan captain Babar Azam said:

“We received good hospitality, and we were not expecting this, but I think the way people responded to us, everyone enjoyed it,” Pakistani captain Babar Azam remarked. We have been in Hyderabad for a week, so we don’t feel like we are in India; rather, it feels like home. We appreciated it and had a great time. It’s good, and I believe that everyone has a fantastic opportunity to give their all and enjoy the competition.

England captain Jos Buttler said:

The team has been primarily together since 2015, the beginning of the revolution you stated, and I believe you continued to say that during the game, according to England captain Jos Buttler. Young players in England today play a specific way and are committed to maintaining the style, and I believe we all understand that this provides us the best chance of success. Even though we are aware that we will occasionally make mistakes, we have learned to accept this and will keep trying to improve and push the envelope. We always want to try and be at the forefront of that curve as well because other teams will push you and advance it farther.

Afghanistan captain Hashmatullah Shahidi said:

Hashmatullah Shahidi, the captain of Afghanistan, stated: “As previously stated, we will have a larger crowd and more support, and we anticipate the same of the people who come there and support us in the stadium. Additionally, we have spinners of very high caliber, and the weather is favorable for us, so they will be with us along with the batting. I think we’ll prove to the world that we can bat and play cricket extremely well during this World Cup.

Bangladesh captain Shakib Al Hasan said:

Shakib Al Hasan, the captain of Bangladesh, said: “I believe we have prepared properly. We are most likely the third or fourth team in the qualifying point system if we consider the four years since the 2019 World Cup. We’ve done incredibly well as a team, so it’s time for us to deliver a strong performance. The nation is expecting a little bit more from us than what we did previously, but our team is prepared.

Netherlands captain Scott Edwards said:

Scott Edwards, the captain of the Netherlands, said: “I believe that every game in this competition will be challenging. However, Pakistan is undoubtedly a very strong team. However, we’re merely eager to start this competition for ourselves. That is in Hyderabad against Pakistan.

South Africa captain Temba Bavuma said:

Temba Bavuma, the captain of South Africa, said, “I believe that is something that is pertinent to all the teams. I wouldn’t really say it’s an advantage for us because many of the opposing clubs have players who have excelled in India and played there. All we could do, in my opinion, is ask the men who possess that expertise and knowledge to share it with the team or apply it to our goals and plans. However, I wouldn’t claim that it is a benefit that is specific to our team.

Sri Lanka captain Dasun Shanaka said:

“See, exciting times for us,” remarked Dasun Shanaka, the captain of Sri Lanka. Injuries have caused us a lot of trouble lately, but we also have some solid records to our credit. You already know that we are all excited for the World Cup. Everyone wants to convey the message that they are here to compete successfully in this competition.

New Zealand captain Kane Williamson:

“As you mentioned, you come to another event, and everyone certainly starts from square one and starts again. You go from tournament to tournament, teams change, and opposition conditions change,” said New Zealand captain Kane Williamson. For us, concentrating on the type of cricket we want to continue playing gives us the best chance of performing at our peak. We have participated in a number of tournaments, and while they have all been entertaining and full of diverse challenges, we are really looking forward to the difficulties that this one will present. And the distinction is that, in contrast to other competitions, it will bring with it a memorable moment in India. Simply put, there are so many people who love and support sports. Therefore, we simply look forward to participating.

Fans can experience the thrill of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 right in their living rooms by watching the panel discussion with the 10 captains on the Star Sports network starting at 19:00 IST today evening.
