CHILAS: A car drove into a coaster that ran off the road and plunged into a ditch close to the Chilas district of Gilgit Baltistan, killing at least 25 people, many of them were women and children.
The tragic accident happened when a fast-moving trailer struck a passenger coach on a coaster carrying passengers from Rawalpindi to Gilgit. Due to the violent force of the crash, both automobiles turned over.
According to reports, local residents, rescue squads, and police officers arrived on the scene and started the rescue effort. The bodies of the deceased and injured were taken to the RHQ Hospital in Chilas for treatment.
