China issues a demand to “end the hostilities” in response to the Israel-Hamas war.

In a statement released on Sunday regarding the “escalation of tensions and violence between” Israel-Hamas war China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs urged the “relevant parties to remain calm, exercise restraint, and immediately end the hostilities to protect civilians and avoid further deterioration of the situation.”

The militant Palestinian organization Hamas, which rules the Gaza Strip and has been labeled a terrorist organization by the United States and the European Union, was not mentioned by China.


The establishment of an independent state of Palestine and the implementation of the two-state solution are the primary solutions to the conflict, according to the Chinese foreign ministry.

According to a statement released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Sunday, China demanded a cease-fire in the Israel-Hamas war as well as the “establishing of an independent state of Palestine.”

The Chinese foreign ministry stated, “We call on relevant parties to maintain composure, exercise restraint, and immediately end the hostilities to protect civilians and prevent further deterioration of the situation.”

The statement continued, “The international community must act with greater urgency, increase its involvement in the Palestine situation, support the early resumption of peace negotiations between Palestine and Israel, and find a means of achieving lasting peace. China will keep pushing forward with the international community in that direction.

Zhang Jun, China’s permanent representative to the UN, expressed a stronger position on the escalating unrest on Monday by stating that “China condemns all violence and attacks against civilians.”
