OpenAI reports that ChatGPT users can now access the internet
It won’t be long until users of ChatGPT will be allowed to browse the internet, which will significantly boost the amount of data the popular chatbot can access beyond the previous cutoff date of September 2021.
The company that specializes in artificial intelligence asserts that the most recent surfing feature introduced to ChatGPT would make it possible for websites to personalize the manner in which ChatGPT communicates with them.
“At the moment, only Plus and Enterprise members have access to browsing; but, in the not-too-distant future, we want to make it available to all users. According to a statement that was released by OpenAI on the social media network X, which was formerly known as Twitter, users have the ability to activate the function by choosing Browse with Bing from the menu that is located beneath the GPT-4 option. This option can be found on the social media platform X.
Additionally, the business made an announcement earlier this week about a significant improvement that would allow ChatGPT to communicate with clients via audio and visuals, bringing it closer to the level of complexity of well-known AI assistants such as Apple’s Siri.

An earlier version of OpenAI’s premium ChatGPT Plus service experimented with a feature that gave customers the ability to get the most recent information by using the search engine Bing. However, after further thought, it was decided to remove it owing to worries that users may be able to get around paywalls. This decision was made after more review.
When ChatGPT reached the milestone of 100 million monthly active users in January of this year, it established itself as the consumer application that had expanded at the most rapid pace in the history of apps of this kind.
