According to Variety, Zayn Malik will make his acting debut in the upcoming animated movie 10 Lives. This will be Malik’s first appearance in a film.
The singer-songwriter, who is 29 years old, is not the only former member of One Direction who is attempting to break into the acting world.
Zayn has joined a cast that also includes the actress Simone Ashley, who played Bridgerton, and Mo Gilligan, who has won three BAFTAs.
It has been announced that Dylan Llewellyn, who starred in Derry Girl, and Sophie Okonedo, who was in Hotel Rwanda, would both lend their voices to roles in the upcoming movie.
According to Variety, the plot of 10 Lives revolves around a “pampered and selfish cat” who, after squandering his first nine lives, is granted a tenth chance at life.

Chris Jenkins, who directed Duck Duck Goose, is in talks to also helm the upcoming film 10 Lives. The announcement that Malik had been cast came only a day after he had posted a rare selfie to a social media platform.
