Asian Games 2023 Live Updates Day 12: India Wins Gold in Archery; HS Prannoy Storms Into Badminton Semis, Medal Assured

Live updates on the 2023 Asian Games: In the compound women’s team archery final, India defeated Chinese Taipei 230-229 to claim the gold medal on Day 12 of the current Asian Games 2023 in Hangzhou on Thursday. Jyothi Surekha Vennam, Aditi Gopichand Swami, and Parneet Kaur, three Indian archers, were in excellent form as India won a thrilling match. Earlier, PV Sindhu’s elimination from the quarterfinals of the women’s singles tournament dealt a severe blow to India.

He Bingjiao of China defeated the Indian shuttler in straight games (16-21, 12-21), ending a relatively one-sided match. Pooja Gehlot defeated Esati Manlika of Thailand in the women’s freestyle 50kg pre-quarterfinal round of wrestling.
