A’successful’ shoulder procedure is performed on Naseem Shah.

The shoulder ailment that prevented Pakistani bowler Naseem Shah from competing in the ICC World Cup 2023, which will start in India, was successfully treated surgically.

His manager, Moghees Sheikh, provided an update regarding Shah using X, formerly known as Twitter, and mentioned that the fast bowler is feeling good following the minor shoulder procedure.

“Please keep him in mind while you pray. Inshallah, he will shortly take action, he continued in his post.

After the procedure, the young pacer was instructed to take it easy and go through rehabilitation for four to six weeks before returning to the bowling crease.

Unfortunately, Shah’s injury will probably keep him out of action for at least three to four months.

On the reserve day scheduled for that game, the bowler left the field in the 46th over of Pakistan’s second game against India at the Asia Cup 2023. The PCB quickly issued a press release announcing that the right-armer had been disqualified from the remainder of the competition.

Shah sustained a muscle damage immediately behind his bowling shoulder, which is unrelated to any prior shoulder ailments.

Shah was replaced in Pakistan’s World Cup squad by pacer Hasan Ali, who last competed for Pakistan in an ODI match in 2022 against the West Indies at Multan.
